Kristen & John’s Snowy Engagement Session

I am not a fan of winter. I absolutely hate being cold. Since I’m now calling Massachusetts home, I’ve tried really hard to suck it up and be a tough New Englander. But I have to be honest: last winter with its 100 inches of snow in a month nearly broke me.

My saving grace is days like the one I spent with Kristen & John. I put on my big girl pants (at least two pairs of them— I had to keep warm!) and trudged into the snowy world at Borderland State Park in Easton, MA for their engagement portrait session. It reminded me that wide open snowy fields and forests of bare branches make for a beautiful backdrop, and when you’re standing in the sun and hanging out with a sweet couple who are willing to wade through a couple feet of snow to get to the perfect spot, winter is actually kind of enjoyable.

We really did have a good time getting to know each other and exploring the park while dodging sledders and cross-country skiers. You’ve got to give these two kudos—they really make winter look good!
