Frequently Asked Questions

Natalie Nigito Photography offers both Wedding Photography and Portrait Sessions, including specialized sessions such as Engagement Portraits, Newborn Portraits, Maternity Portraits and Extended Family Portraits. If you’d like additional information about any of these sessions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the Inquire link above or by e-mailing

What are the different types of portrait sessions?

A Standard Portrait Session includes a 45-90 minute session at a location of your choice (usually either your home or a nearby park) for an individual, siblings or one family. We can go to multiple locations as long as they are close together. Feel free to bring an outfit change or two, and pets are welcome!

Newborn Portrait Session is for babies under 6 weeks old, preferably scheduled between 5-12 days old. I will bring my mobile studio set-up to your house, which includes a variety of blankets and newborn props. A pre-session consultation will help us style the session to your taste. Newborn sessions are typically about 2 hours long to accommodate plenty of time for feeding and cuddling.

You can expand on your newborn session with a Maternity Session add-on or a Watch Me Grow package. A Maternity Session is scheduled around week 33-36 of pregnancy, and either be a natural light or studio portrait session. The Watch Me Grow package includes a newborn session, a sitter session around 6-8 months old and a first birthday session.

Extended Family Portrait Sessions are perfect for multi-generational portraits. These sessions include portraits of the whole group, each individual family and a variety of smaller groups such as siblings, grandkids, etc.

I also offer a limited number of specialized Mini Sessions each year. I will announce the information on my Facebook page.

Are digital files included in session prices?

Digital files are available for purchase after the portrait session if you are interested in them. Session fees include the time for the on-location session and editing of the files.

Do you have a studio?

Most of my sessions are on-location, which means I will travel to you or to a location of your choice. This works best for most people, especially parents with young children. We can choose a place that is familiar to your child or where they can have fun exploring, and we get much more relaxed and realistic portraits.

How far will you travel?

I live in Watertown, MA, so there are no travel fees for most locations within 50 miles of 02472 zip code. Any locations outside that perimeter may have an additional fee assessed to them, but I’m always up front about any added costs. I also offer a limited number of portrait sessions in the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia, PA.

What is included in your standard wedding package?

All sessions I book will include myself as the lead photographer, plus either an assistant or a second photographer. I also include an engagement portrait session so that we have a chance to get to know each other a bit better before the wedding. About a month before the wedding, I’ll help you work through a timeline for your day, and we’ll go over all the details and must-have photos. After the wedding your photos will be displayed in an online gallery that can be shared with friends and family, and you’ll receive joint copyright to your digital files.

What does joint copyright to digital files include?

Joint copyright means that you will get a copy of all your edited digital files.  You have the right to print photos and share them with friends and family, and I retain the right to use the images to promote my business.

Do you offer Wedding Albums and other products?

I offer a wide variety of products from custom-designed Save-the-Dates and Guest Book Albums from your engagement photos through Wedding Albums, Canvas Wall Art, Thank You cards and much more.

How far in advance do you book weddings?

Most people get in touch with me about 8-14 months before their wedding date. The fall months book up extremely fast. I book a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that each couple gets the highest quality product, so I advise couple to get in touch as soon as possible so we can determine if we’re a good fit!

  • irene psijogiod - HI Natalie,
Your mom Joanne referred me to you. She mentioned you’ll be in the Philadelphia area on or before december. I have a 3month old son, and was thinking of getting a few pictures done. When will you be in the area? And what do you typically charge for your service and photographs?

If you have a few minutes I’d love to connect and see if this is something doable for both of us.
Thank you so much for your time
