My friend Marriah has been telling me about this amazing hidden spot in Groton for a few years. This year, the stars aligned and I was able to meet her and her family on a perfect fall afternoon at the remains of an old castle at the top of Gibbet Hill. I’ve photographed many weddings at the Barn at Gibbet Hill, but I had no idea that spot was hiding just past where the Barn’s iconic cows graze.
As anyone with a pre-schooler and a toddler knows—they don’t stay put for long. So we covered plenty of ground exploring inside and around the ruins, before running to the top of the hill to catch the sunset. Thanks B family for not only introducing me to this great new spot (I have so many ideas for future sessions!) but for looking pretty sharp yourselves 🙂
